The new 1.5 Tesla Open Bore MRI at California Imaging Institute is redefining Open MRI, with greater comfort and better image quality than any other Open MRI system currently available. The Open Bore design makes it easier for larger patients and those with claustrophobia to have an MRI examination which produces higher quality images, helping to reduce the need to repeat and interrupt exams

Feet first and head out

For virtually all exams your feet go in first and your head remains outside of the magnet. With a length of approximately four feet all but the smallest patients will find themselves comfortable and secure—the best circumstances to provide for the best care.

More headroom

Where an MRI of the head becomes necessary, comfort remains the priority. You will have an open view and generous head-room with at least one foot of space above your nose. There’s also more elbow-room—the spacious diameter opening (over two feet) is specially designed for a more comfortable shoulder, chest, or upper abdomen scan. This makes a crucial difference that you will notice and appreciate.
